SYMPOSIUM LOCATION

The TCM2010 will take place at the Resort Beach Hotel “Atlantica Sensatori Caldera Palace” in Analipsi, 4Km from the resort town of Hersonissos about 20 km from Heraklion International Airport, Crete, Greece. Crete was the center of the Minoan civilization, which flourished at about 2000 B.C. There are many archaeological sites throughout the island, with the palace of Knossos being the most well known.

How to reach Heraklion

The symposium village of Analipsi at Hersonissos, is situated about 24 km east of the city of Heraklion city and can be reached by bus or taxi from the Heraklion airport or harbour. Heraklion is directly connected to Athens International Airport with about 10 domestic flights daily run by Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines. There are also direct scheduled airline connections from major European cities as well as many charter flights from most European countries. Alternatively, one can use the ferry-boat connecting Heraklion with the harbour of Piraeus (Athens). Connection is offered by Minoan Lines or ANEK Lines with overnight crossings lasting about 7 hours or the new Super Fast Ferries http://www.superfast.com connecting Crete with Athens and Italy. By Air.
When you arrive at the Heraklion airport, transfer to the Conference site is possible by: • Taxi: The approximate fare from Heraklion Airport is about 35 €.
• Public bus (KTEL) to Hersonissos (Get-of at Analipsi): Public Bus Service on the half hour from the airport exit. Last bus to Hersonissos departs at 22:00. Price: 3,50 €. Journey time: about 35 min.

By Boat. When you arrive at the Heraklion harbour, you may walk to the Public Bus Station which is within walking distance. From there, buses depart to Hersonissos, on the half hour. The first bus departs at 6:30 and the last one at 22:00.
